Community Vision Workshop for Lewisville
- On September 19, 2025

The City of Lewisville, Texas adopted its Lewisville 2025 Vision Plan in 2014. Since then, the plan has been a key to Lewisville’s success. Strategic Community Solutions was part of the original consultant team for this plan, and consulted with the City again for its update after five years of progress. That update was slowed by COVID-19 but was adopted by the City Council in 2021. Now that it is 2025, Lewisville is again updating its vision for the future.
The Lewisville 2035 Vision Plan will provide direction for Lewisville for the next 10 years. Freese & Nichols is the lead consultant for this project (and was also the prime consultant for the original plan); RAYO Planning is also on the team. SCS is continuing to serve on the City’s team for this project.
After an extensive round of initial input from individuals and organizations, the first citywide Community Vision Workshop was held on September 18, 2025. A staff session at lunch drew people from all over the City organization. In the evening, the Community Workshop attracted over 100 people. It included eight interactive stations and Marco’s Room, a place for kids to imagine the future. Three excellent speakers provided insights and perspective – Mike Odle, Lewisville High School Athletic Director and Coach; Paris Rutherford, Principal of Catalyst Development; and Angela Calvin Self FAICP, Planning Director of the City of Cedar Hill. The creative ideas gathered at this workshop will help set priorities for the issues to be addressed in the new plan. More information about this workshop and its results are on the Lewisville 2035 website.
