Project Description
Strategic Community Solutions served as a subconsultant to Jacobs on the update of the Town of Fairview’s plans and ordinance for its primary commercial area. The Commercial Planned Development District is envisioned as Fairview’s non-residential center and a counterpoint to the rest of the community’s low density, high quality residential neighborhoods. SCS involvement in this project included design and conduct of a successful Community Open House, development of the strategic direction for the new plan and zoning district, facilitation of discussion and direction at joint meetings of the Town’s Council, Planning and Zoning Commission and Economic Development Commission. SCS also developed the coordinated implementation matrix that will help the Town carry out the integrated programs to achieve the strategic objectives of the new plan. The plan was approved by the Town in July 2014.
