Terry in the highlands.
Terry kicked off our annual travel marathon with a week’s trip in February to the highlands of western Guatemala, where he and his birding buddy Jim Arneson saw the unique horned guan and other endemic birds. The abiding opinion: Western Guatemala is a damned cold country in the early spring.
This Horned-guan lives only here.
The Golden-browed warbler is another sought-after endemic.
