Project Description

Strategic Community Solutions was part of a team led by Freese and Nichols, Inc. that assisted the North Central Texas Council of Governments’ Environment & Development Department in an update of this regional program. integrated Storm Water Management (iSWM) is the region’s sustainable approach to addressing flood control, streambank erosion and facility design. Ms. Walz designed public input workshops for the project that provided direction for the program update. She also participated in the tasks related integration of engineering and planning issues and building support for the program among the public and elected officials. These tasks relate to the design of a training program for city staff who will use the iSWM tools and elected officials who are considering its adoption in their own communities.
