Project Description
Strategic Community Solutions served as a subconsultant to Jacobs on the update of the City of Lancaster’s comprehensive plan. This project began in late 2013 with an assessment of the City’s existing conditions and led to the adoption of a new comprehensive plan in 2016. As part of the team, SCS provided online engagement opportunities for the public, design of an intensive all-day community planning charrette, work with the advisory committee and stakeholders. SCS designed and managed a two-session series of joint discussions with the City’s Council and Planning & Zoning Commission that led to agreement on priorities and direction for the plan. SCS drafted plan elements and its implementation program.
