Project Description
Strategic Community Solutions was part of a team led by HOK that developed a vision and action plan for the corridor along a segment of Garland Road in Dallas. The project’s client was the North Central Texas Council of Governments’ Transportation Department, leading a client group that also included the City of Dallas and a citizen-led Garland Road Vision Committee. Ms. Walz provided planning expertise as part of this team; she also coordinated the project’s implementation recommendations. This project included research, an all-day charrette for stakeholders, and several community workshops. The vision study has been adopted by the Dallas City Council.
