Terry’s Law Practice

Terry’s Law Practice

  • On April 28, 2019

Terry officially retired from the practice of law on December 31, 2018.  For now.  It is unclear how long he will stay retired, since he has an abiding interest in his field of municipal land use law.   Meanwhile, the fun is over for his writing career, that is, writing the thriller Tarangire Dreams, which is set in Tanzania in the near future and follows the exploits of an international team who take up arms to kill ivory poachers before they exterminate the African elephant.  Now he is writing query letters to New York agents as the first step in getting the book published.  We’ll see how he does…

The elephants need our help!

Karen and Terry: So nice to hear from you every year. Carole and I know that Freilich & Leitner will always be the place where you met. Sorry Karen about your Dad and Mom passing away so close in time. It really shows how devoted they must have been to be unable to carry on without the other. While Terry has finally retired, I am still going teaching at USC, writing articles on inequality of income, a new edition of the Land Use casebook and thriving as an expert witness and practicing law. Carole has had a setback with her eyes but things are getting better after a complex surgery conducted by two retinal and glaucoma specialists that saved her left eye. We don't travel very much but we will be taking a Silver Sea cruise from London to Barcelona to visit France again. It's hard to believe that we have spent over one year of our lives in France. Every year we would take a three week auto trip to France by seeing one region at a time. We both miss you guys so when you ever come to southern California please do visit with us. All our best. Carole and Bob.
