2019 Year in Review

Happy New Year — and New Decade!

We hope the 2010’s ended on a good note for you.  We are looking forward to a wonderful 2020 and hope that good times will continue throughout the next decade.  Our year 2019 was again one focused on interesting work projects, exciting travel and enjoyable times with family and friends.  Though the work took more time, there are more pictures from the trips! Here are some 2019 highlights, with caveats:  in the interest of getting this out, we didn’t edit the photos as much as some photographers might prefer, and we haven’t named as many of the birds we saw as some birders might wish.

Enjoying Art

  • On March 2, 2020
It seems we visited more art museums and galleries this year than usual. That was really fun, particularly since there were many and varied topics and styles. Here is a selection of what we saw, in order of the museum, gallery or city (in the case of public art) where we saw it.

Spain in Spring

  • On March 2, 2020
We had planned to visit Spain in 2018, but delayed the trip after Karen’s parents passed away. We packed a lot into this trip — places Karen visited (with her mom, sister and nephew) in 2014, birding areas, diverse cities and unique islands. Here are the highlights. Our first stop was in Granada. The Alhambra […]
