Terry’s principal project this year was the launch and development of his Substack Saving Terra. The media platform is dedicated to the preservation of biodiversity, with emphasis on bird conservation. As an international birder, he has grown increasingly concerned over the many threats to forests and savannas in tropical regions. For most countries he visits, he plans to identify the biological resources of the places that we visit, as well as the visible threats to biodiversity in those areas. (The first essay addresses Angola, to be soon followed by one on Bolivia.) His ambition is to partner with other biodiversity advocates in order to educate interested persons, particularly young people, about the necessity to neutralize ongoing threats, with the hope of encouraging them to undertake effective conservation measures.

He also continues to promote his climate fiction novels, Tarangire Dreams and The Wrong Client. In 2024 he plans to write a sequel to the latter novel and to try his hand at writing screenplays.
